39; For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40; And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41; Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. (KJV)
Yes Alithea, you are absolutely correct. There were so many I actually considered making another list of 33...Thanx for including this one. I like to think of the Holy Spirit as a ἀρραβὼν or down payment on salvation too ;)
ReplyDeleteMore grace
ReplyDelete@Unknown, there is grace in this. The grace is in that yes, there is a condition, but it has already been fulfilled by What Jesus did on the cross. In God's eyes, once we accept the gift of salvation, every condition has already been satisfied. :)
ReplyDeleteAny evidence in the bibl pointing to to this?.....the bible says all those who believe are given power to become the children of God..arw you saying for the fact that Christ has die for us, even those who don't believe him are still considered as his children?
DeleteGrace does not apply to you until after you have been born again and in the Kingdom. Just accepting or believing is not bring born again.
