I thought as I studied the Bible, understood my faith better and grew closer with God I would lose this nervousness and butterflies when I incorporate apologetics, witness or evangelize. I have now come to the realization that this is exactly what the Lord wants to maintain in me. When I am nervous I continue to call on Him to put the right words in my mouth. I am less inclined to rely on my own devices. I become humbled and dependant, especially when things come through with flying colors.
