An American Prayer and A Fist In The Air

Americans when united in mind and action are a formidable force. Perhaps even indomitable at times. A challenge now faces the US medical establishment and I trust God will allow them to rise to the challenge. My prayers are to them and for them. This is why I've posted so much in the last month. To buy time. No one lives a long life being stupid. Survivors learn. I saw all of this coming.

I know what is about to hit the doctors and nurse of this country. Humanity already had two trial runs and staggered. China and Italy. America came close to doing the same until today. For all her faults, America still has time for redemption. For some reason God I believe still blesses this land even though most times we clearly do not deserve it. Time is still against the US but effort seems to now be moving in one unified direction. Public and private sectors with the singular purpose of beating this sickness that is descending on us like divine judgment.

U.S. hospitals will be setting up triage tents, calling doctors out of retirement, guarding/locking down their supplies of face masks and making plans to cancel elective surgery or procedures as they brace for an onslaught of virus patients.

Depending on how bad this gets, the sick could find themselves waiting on stretchers in triage tents outside of hospitals and emergency room hallways for hospital beds to open up, or could be required to share rooms with others infected.

I pray that doctors and nurses will not be forced into life and death triage decisions of rationing who live and who dies. This burden is for leaders not healers...but such is the world. Pray for the nurses and doctors. Pray for the sick and elderly. Pray for time. Head down, shoulder down and lean into the burden. A storm has arrived...but a fist of American might is being raised against it. We're not going down without a fight.
