Asymmetrical Warfare on Christians

Another day. Another Church shooting. Another Christian killed another martyr for a faith. Today they even went as far as to drive into a Mormon church, shoot it up then light it on fire. The demonic isn’t horribly bright. I guess it doesn’t matter because they aren’t exactly known for their compassion or empathy towards humanity. Technically this could be viewed as another demonic-on-demonic act like the Seven Sons of Sceva. A cult being attacked by a demonic and mentally ill shooter. But I digress, its not the main point I intend to hash out.

The problem obviously being that the media is already showing that they're too stupid to differentiate between Christians and Mormons. We have now entered a phase of a war where anyone even perceived as being even remotely Christian is being targeted. Jehovah's Witness fall into this catagory too. Evil is willing to inflict collateral damage through friendly fire apparently on anything that looks like orthodoxy to the outside world. It is the same thing we see in Islam when Islamic men use their own women or children has human meat shields. Sacrifice your own families as a means to achieve a greater evil end. They're targeting Christians or people they think are Christian. 

All the while media is continuing their attack via broad generalizations of Christians which they don't agree with labeling them as Christian Nationalists like they've just done to John MacArthur and Voddie Bauchum. This does nothing but further inflame an already deadly cauldron of hate and evil. This is generally referred to as tribulation in Scripture.

These most recent shootings and arsons are not the opening salvo in a new war but rather another confrontation in an ages old war. They are looking more and more like acts of desperation. They are acts of people or entities that know their time is either limited, running short or their windows of opportunity are closing. That is why they are increasing in frequency, intensity and pure malice. 

They’re making bold often brazen attempts to wipe out large swathes of people to silence a few that actually have the capability of making enormous impacts teaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not all are equally capable but the fact that these killers are no longer differentiating should be a warning sign of a change in tactic or stratagem in what has so far, been wholesale asymmetrical warfare on Christians.

The attacks are coming more as generalized, nebulous, decentralized and random tactics. Dare I say haphazard and scatterbrained. I believe this is because they see the power of empire being brought to bear on them to stop them. God is using the power of Kings to halt some of the evil (at least in America). Just as he did through people like King Cyrus and King Xerxes. Using godless kings as his tools. So they are resorting to the random asymmetrical warfare that is the trademark of terrorism or guerrilla warfare. 

They are domestic terrorists in the physical and spiritual realms. They use the cover of politics, people’s sympathies or even family bonds to infiltrate and then attack like a demonic Trojan Horse. Because a large majority of their targets are non-retaliatory Christians, that warfare is remaining asymmetrical for now. But these lunatics/demons are getting lazy and careless. They’re starting to make major mistakes that may spark a wider symmetrical response from even non-Christian seats of power. This will be the tipping point for broader conflict as it will bring other allies and belligerents into a broader struggle that spans both the worldly and spiritual realms. War makes strange bedfellows.

I personally believe this might be one of the ancillary tactics of the demonic behind these attacks. They don’t care who gets sucked into the fray as collateral damage, as long as their primary objectives are achieved. Silencing of, or termination of those teaching/preaching the Gospel. The world sees this as a political battle of ideology and may not care about the spiritual aspect of the war taking place but the destruction of the people of Christ it is the only objective for the demonic. The chaos, confusion and carnage are just fringe benefits.

At first glance many of these killers will appear as lone wolves in the physical world but they are most certainly part of a much large tactical plan being used in the spiritual realm. They’re willing to take out some of their own to spread further chaos and destruction. No one is safe during tribulation unless they are hedged in by the Lord. The demonic would be just as content to destroy everyone as a means to get the ones they really want. That is why the power of Christ in the Word is your only recourse.

Here is the irony. In the earthly realm, the war is asymmetrical. In the spiritual it is a ancient heated or pitched symmetrical battle between good and evil. The evil is purposely trying to force it to bleed over into the physical realm. That’s why things are becoming so obvious to even the non-spiritual. They see it as another example of a society out of control and ask, "What the hell is going on?" They’re not seeing the wider scope of the war. This of course is going to change. The trick for Christians is to not producw collateral damage. Therefore we need to first properly identify the enemy (as demonic), isolate it and end it (with Christ through His word). The only way for Christians to do this is to know how to properly identify who the enemy is which requires they actually understand what they're dealing with. Scripture is the only place to find that informaiton. Prayer and faith is the only way enact it.

That which is not of Christ and Scripture…is therefore anti-Scripture and antichrist. I don’t mean to oversimplify this but in the heat of battle, the ability to ascertain and neutralize and enemy is a matter of observation, diligence and accurately understanding the battlefield and the enemy. We’re fighting an enemy that will think nothing of using family, women, children and innocents as cover or use them as improvised spiritual devices (ISDs) to undermine or destroy us. Our battlefield is becoming uneven and hard to understand and traverse. Combatants and casulties are starting to be people we care about and love. The Scripture and our faith is our only defense against this enemy in the end.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
