Americae Exitium: Wealth Accumulates & Men Decay

Americae Exitium / American Demise

America is in steep spiritual decline and is morally tainted. Like a virgin, we have lost purity and refused to respect God. The states are destroyed from the cities outward. The destruction is not from an external enemy. It is inwardly being destroyed. Our true interests are being neglected by the very leaders we elected in favor of lining their own pockets and fueling their own self-interests. We are a nation forsaken by our own rulers and leaders. Even with all of our strength and resources our power and influence is being negated through moral weakness and none can defend their behavior anymore. We export depravity and sin to the world as the ‘American Way’. A moral disintegration where things begin to fall into disunity and lack coherence because of a common moral base.

We’ve been weakened by moral corruption and this has been further exacerbated by constant internal strife and division. The Bible repeatedly showed that nothing can prop up a rotten nation, nor save a doomed people. Our people are morally decimated. This is compounded by the fact that financial decimation has followed the moral decline because the immoral in power have done nothing but add debt to the backs of the poor which they tread on.

“Where wealth accumulates, and men decay." ~ The Deserted Village, Oliver Goldsmith

God is gracious in showing to us our wrongdoings, and if we heed His instruciton and change our ways we may escape the oncoming punishment. But we are not heeding the warnings as a nation. Individuals like I am trying to heed and warn others but one man, or 1000 men, cannot stem the tide of millions all pushing in one direction…running off of a cliff without even slowing down. A large portion of the American people are obstinate and opposed to God. The lack of wisdom and commonsense is the clearest evidence of this. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. There is no wisdom so one needs to conclude there is not fear of God in a majority of the American populace. If there were wisdom the nation wouldn’t be in its current nosedive in a race to the bottom.

The irony is that many believe the nation is at its prime and all-powerful. This is nothing but denial and delusion. Americans hate people like me that criticize their behavior publicly. I am just the bible-thumping idiot that never knows when to stop expousing their opinion. The same happened to those in the Bible that did the same thing. That includes people like Charlie Kirk, myself and any others in the public sqaure, the courts, the government, the halls of academia or in the media. Anywhere there is public discourse and the possibly of reversing the trend of immorality or correcting things to exact justice…we’re despised. When wisdom lifts up its voice it is not heard. When people are too impatient or intolerant of good counsel it is an evil sign. Those people, those types of nations are sure to fail and God will certainly intervene to exact justice through punishment.

Our courts and government were in place to empower or protect the people. When these institutions are used to oppress the people, they are being misused and abused. In the Book of Amos, like today, Judges were so wicked, that they could not endure those who opposed or criticized their unrighteous decisions. Plaintiffs, claimants and witnesses who pleaded for equity or justice were insulted. Men who defended innocence and cried against injustice were hated beyond degree. The judges and leaders abhorred the upright. There were actually quite a few prophets like Amos trying to get the nation back on course but people were so corrupt they failed. Amos, Hosea, Joel, and Jonah all ministered during the reigns of King Jeroboam II of Israel and King Uzziah of Judah. Here is the irony and parallel to America. They all prophesied and preached in a period of significant national prosperity but the nation was in steep spiritual decline heading towards demise. All the prophets and those that supported them were exposed to ridicule and contempt.

Authenticity and the genuineness of a man is an extremely valued trait in a good society. It is the bond and security of a society that holds it together. All morally upright and just men will value a good honest man. That is why God says in the Bible that the prayers, and life of the upright are a blessing to any community (Proverbs 11:11). To hate them and put them to silence is the way to ruin. Charlie Kirk ring any bells? The government suppression by financial ruin or murder of people’s reputations of anyone that speaks out against them in the last 5 years should be a wakeup call for many. Don’t question the science people.

A large majority of the people in this nation love darkness rather than light, and cannot endure those who accuse and indict them of their offenses and injustices. The truth speakers and teachers of Scriptural principles become enemies of the state and culture because they tell the truth. These people hate what people like I am saying to them and they try to make us a criminal or lawbreaker merely for the words we speak. These same people simultaneously tread on and crush the poor through state authorized or institutional persecution in the courts.

If any of us attempt to sue for justice we would not get it. It would either be denied us outright or the crooked courts would drag it out so long we could no longer afford to fight the good fight. The judges and leaders take bribes and/or are driven by perverse ideologies that are unjust and immoral while thumbing their noses at God and morality. We now live in a nation where the courts are in the pockets of those with twisted ideology or are paid off by them. The poor and those not in positions of influence and power are subjected to their injustice and their violence. Trampled in the dust while many of the criminals and the rich unjustly are acquitted of the crimes and wrongdoing.

They imprison the righteous, and will only release people if they change their ideologies or pay people in power off with money (bribe). All this while they plant vineyards, build multiple mansions and exploit lavish lifestyles on the taxpayers dollars. These corrupt leader’s mansions are hewn stone are monuments of extortion they’ve exacted in the courts and halls of power. What none of them seem to understand is leaders who secure for themselves and enlarge their possessions by injustice will destroy and lose both. Those who ruin others to live in grandeur will find that they build on false foundations and will eventually lose all of their possessions.

That is why Amos said a cautious man remains silent for the days are evil. But people like me cannot remain silent because I am compelled by the Spirit to speak in truth when I see injustice or oppression. It takes enormous restraint and wisdom to know when and how to speak. I’ve learned that discretion is needed in blasting people nowadays. I need to pick and chose my battles. As the old naval idiom once said:

"Wise mariners do not hoist sails in every wind"

I’ve learned in this faltering nation that people are often hardened and infatuated with themselves and their self-aggrandizement. They deliberately shut their ears and refuse instruction. Criticism and showing them how and why they are wrong only hardens people’s hearts even more. As Voddie Baucham and John MacArthur both recently stated, the world is not our enemy per se, it is our field of evangelism but at some point we hit the law of diminishing returns on investment of our time trying to reach people in their darkenss. Even Christ in mercy withheld his tongue before such idiocy and hardened people. He spoke in parables to His disciples so not to further harden them and condemn them in their ignorance. At some point I will need to stop writing and spekaing about this stuff for a while. I did so a few years ago when it seemed all my words were falling on deaf ears. When people stop listening and reading again, I will go silent again.

It is best to "let them alone." Wipe the dust from me feet and move on. They’ve condemned themselves. An arrogant man needs no direction, thinks his own way right, and will follow his error it to His own end. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes. In an evil time I will need to sometime hold my tongue. I must hold my peace. In God’s mysterious providence I need to learn to be still and know He is God.

Whatever social or national burden is put upon me to point out, at some point I must learn to sit alone and keep silence (Lamentations 3:28). There are times when I must reverently submit to God and back out. Although I am not at the point of silence it is clear the trend within the nation is quickly heading this way as I see many of our preachers and evangelists being silenced by God either in natural passings or unnatural demise. So for now, I preach the Gospel for the days are shortening and the season is changing. Soon will be the time of the harvest and the wheat will be separated from the chaff.
