Inflection points are used in many fields to identify significant changes or turning points. A "social inflection point" is a significant transition or turning point in the behavior of individuals or societies, leading to rapid, lasting changes rather than routine fluctuations. These points can arise from various causes, such as major technological shifts (like social media's rise) or demographic changes (like a radical ideology's impact). Understanding these points is crucial for organizations and individuals to adapt, survive and avoid decline in a rapidly changing often volatile social environment.
Such is the society we live in today. We’re literally at a volatile inflection or Turning Point (to borrow from Charlie). The inflection signals the end of one age and the ushering in of a new one, demanding significant adjustments to remain viable as a nation. Which side of this point you find yourself on is going to determine who you are moving forward. The world changed while no one was looking or paying close attention and in what seemed like an overnight transformation we find ourselves in a pre-uncivil war condition due to an assassin’s bullet. Was the killing of Charlie Kirk the catalyst? Probably not. There were a million smaller things that put us here. A nation’s death by a million un-American cuts. The division though is now clearly seen after this dramatic act of evil. Only in extreme cases like an assassination do the alternatives and decisions become clearer morally. For those that choose the immoral side...there is no hope for you aside from God. You're a lost cause.
As a nation we are facing a dramatic change in course, rather than a temporary fluctuation. We're facing an unprecedented demand for peace or opportunity for which there are no easy answers often signals that the tide is turning—one phase is ending, while something new is violently struggling to emerge. The emergence is that of rampant evil and chaos taking over the nation. Wholesale lawlessness that has been in play for years now has exposed itself like a cancer and it is everywhere: In government, in academia, in workplaces and even in our own families.
Contrary to what the liberal media is saying, we know most of what drove the shooter to kill Charlie Kirk. What isn’t so clear is what is driving thousands perhaps millions to applaud the murder. This is the nature of this inflection. In the past, an assassination like this in this country would unify most people of many creeds and colors, as happened after the death of JFK. Instead what we are seeing is a country beginning to tear apart at the seams as after Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife’s assassination. Those killings invariably lead to the start of WWI. What we learn from history about these types of turning points is they become horribly bloody and often times more evil than the evil they were supposedly trying to overcome.
Inflections cause turmoil and in the turmoil people are distracted. This allows those outside or above the turmoil to change the rules to the game. We see agent provocateurs both worldly and spiritually acting in nefarious ways to gain ground on the backs of the dead. We saw this after September 11th, 2001. The attacks were used as an excuse by the government to strip or tighten down on civil liberties of all Americans. To turn America more into a Orwellian surveillance state more akin th Communist China.
At this point we should assume the Government would use an internal strike like a new Civil War to do the same as justification for even more draconian rule. There is a balance between wholesale lawlessness and wholesale draconian rule. It is called the Constitution. Instead of trying to subvert it and work around it in the courts the existing powers would be well advised to abide by it. The ones working against the Constitution are Marxists embedded at every level of our society. It is unlikely this cancer will be easily removed without damaging the host (America).
Do you know what else would be a good idea to abide by? Adhering to a Bible or a Biblical worldview. Much of the Founding Father’s principles in founding documents can drawn from the Bible contrary to later revisionist history and revisionist judicial overreach. What we cannot do is abide by rampant disregard of social order and violence. The violence we see is going to force the hand of justice and innocent people are going to be trampled in the stampede about to be unleashed on an uneasy public. We all sense it and we all know it.
People are already choosing sides as the inflection occurs. Both sides believe they are on the side of morality because of the way they frame their arguments. The problem is that one side (the Left) has used Marxist ideologies and language to equivocate and do not mean what they really say when they say it aloud. Instead they use words that purposely cause division and ratchet up the conflict (dialectic). They merely use to words and the impeding violence to push what they wanted all along…a war of division so they can plant their flag in the name of Karl Marx. They thought it was going to be a revolution but not all are onboard with their plan. Instead they are pushing us closer to Civil War.
We’re either going to pull up out of this national suicidal nosedive or we are going to plunge straight into the ground at full throttle. What we all decide individually will determine our indivudal and national outcomes. It is my hope and prayer that we pull out of the nose dive but as the Lord has told us in Scripture, be aware of the times and their signs. Be diligent lest the darkness overtake you.
Remember, the ultimate inflection point was at the cross of Christ. The turning point of history on which all things hinged and without it things would've went badly for humanity. What we decide at the foot of the cross determines not only what happens to us here in this life... but also in eternity.
