I believe what many have failed to understand is that Democracy is a very robust system but it is not perfect or indestructible. Those who seek to find its weak points and flaws will do so if only to misuse them. Like any other system dependent on its caretakers and constituent components...it needs to be maintained and cared for not abused and exploited. Right now... we are not only failing in doing so, we have some of the caretakers throwing monkey wrenches into the cogs. Justices, legislators, presidents, governors, mayors, voters, etc.
Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous increase, the people
rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his
officials will be wicked.
Isaiah 3:4-5 And I will make boys their princes, and infants
shall rule over them. And the people will oppress one another, every one his
fellow and every one his neighbor; the youth will be insolent to the elder, and
the despised to the honorable.
