God is so great
He became the size of an infant
God is so mighty
He became helpless
Like a human babe
Like a man imprisoned on a cross
God is so wise
He can lie on the earth
Without sign of intelligence
God is so rich
He can become poor
And go into debt for us
And pay off that debt
God is full of mercy
Enough to share His life with us
Taking our guilt while we were still sinners
Feeling the pain of ours as His
Makin the sadness of our life His
Being with us
Being scourged for us
Being with us
Being spit on by us
Being crucified for us
Being crucified by us
God paints the canvas of history
God framing the picture correctly
Man, incapable of
Viewing the scene correctly
